Make Your Partner Melt…

If love is the lock, then touch is the key. It is the wordless way in which we connect, soothe, support, and say I love you.

Learn how to help your partner relax and unwind with a massage after an exhausting day, or spoil them on a special night.

Open your relationship to more of this loving wordless dialogue using the healing power of massage to melt away the stress of a tough day, reduce specific muscle aches, or just to connect.

Spaces are limited to eight people (four couples) to enable our full attention to you during the class.

You will be led by James Maddock, assisted by studio owner/manager and ‘stunt body’ Sara Gestier.

What You Will Learn

  • Gain confidence in giving your partner a stress-relieving massage
  • Target specific common problem muscles to relax the neck, shoulders, head, hands and feet
  • Communicate clearly as both the massage giver and receiver

What You Get

  • CONFIDENCE that you know what you are doing
  • Gift bag of sensory goodies
  • Access to exclusive videos of the techniques you will learn
  • Access to ongoing advice, and discounted private tutoring sessions with James
  • Professional massage oil from Melrose Health
  • Vouchers for use at The Collective yoga and massage studio
  • A list of suggestions for how to make a massage special
  • Special access to home massage equipment via Firm’n’Fold in Collingwood

If you have been reluctant to give your loved one a neck rub because you feel clunky or think you are doing it wrong, this is the workshop for you.

In this class for absolute beginners you will learn first how to create a relaxing and comforting environment with music, scent and light.

You will then learn basic techniques for giving massage, learning the most common problem muscles to target.

After this class you will have the confidence to continue developing this life-time skill. And most of all, you will discover the joy of making your partner feel amazing.

What to expect

You are not expected to take off any clothes — you can use the skills you will learn here with or without clothing, so you can adapt what you learn as you please. While singlets and tank tops are probably the best idea on the day, a tee shirt is just fine, too. Wear what makes you feel comfortable.

The idea is for you to take away skills you can use to give someone a massage at anywhere, any time, using what you have at hand.

Class Venue

The Collective Yoga Massage Myotherapy is located on the #8 and #1 tram lines. Get off at Stop 126 (Stewart Street) and walk up, or Stop 127 (Albion Street) and walk down.

There is free weekend parking in adjacent streets and metered parking on Lygon Street.

SUGGESTION: Get an Uber for the chauffeur experience. Then get some lunch before the class, or some dinner after the class, at one of the nearby restaurants (e.g. Hellenic Republic or Mi Corazon) for a full date-night experience. You can top it all off with a liesurely amble in the late evening before getting your Uber back home. 🙂
