James Maddock, RMT

James Maddock (a.k.a. Maddz) is a Remedial Massage Therapist with extra certifications in Myofascial Cupping, Dry Needling, Sports Performance Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Kinematic Assessment (movement testing).

In a ‘former life,’ Maddock completed a double Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Indigenous Studies in Christchurch, Aotearoa-New Zealand.

Maddock graduated from the New Zealand College of Massage (Wellington) in 2007. He has been living in Melbourne since 2012, and a member of the Massage & Myotherapy Australia Association since 2013. In 2014 he became a Regional Ambassador for the Association in the Melbourne Central region.

Maddz is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Myotherapy) at Torrens University in Melbourne, where he is the recipient of the Industry Representative Scholarship.

He has special interests in shoulder dysfunctions, running dysfunctions, youth sports injuries, and nerve compression syndromes like sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, and thoracic outlet syndrome among others.

Maddz maintains a deep connection to place and home; a foundation on tradition and a flexible, adaptable style along with a warm and friendly demeanour mean you get a treatment that honours your biological, your psychological, and your environmental health.
